About

Two decades inside complex organizations. Now contributing practitioner insight to academic research.

After beginning my career in complex, regulated healthcare environments, I spent over a decade in Silicon Valley leading leadership, learning, and transformation work in high-performance organizations. Today, as an executive coach, I partner with senior leaders to navigate the intersecting demands of pressure, performance, and organizational growth.

The Practice

I work with senior leaders when organizational complexity outpaces their existing frameworks. At this level, executives stall because they misread where influence and constraint actually sit inside the system.

Our work isolates the breakdown. We map whether the friction is intrapersonal, relational, or systemic, and direct effort precisely where it forces movement.

Engagements span three to six months, employer-sponsored, by referral or mutual alignment.

The Research

I conduct primary research on the leadership challenges organizations face but fail to measure accurately. Active projects include the AI Workforce Adaptation 2026 Benchmark (n=102, Silicon Valley) and an IPA study examining the lived experience of C-suite executives engaged in structured coaching.

These two domains run in parallel. The friction I observe in executive sessions dictates the questions I test in research. The resulting empirical data dictates how I operationalize strategy with my clients.

The Background

At Apple and Gap Inc., I architected performance and talent strategies across massive, decentralized ecosystems. This included designing systems for full-time corporate employees, global contractors, vendor networks, and distribution center operations.

Operating at this scale exposes the internal mechanics of an organization. I manage the behavioral variables that cause large-scale change investments to fracture. I track how influence moves independently of the formal org chart. I audit the behavioral friction that complicates executive succession and organizational continuity.
